The Polish national team ended their way through the ninth Women's World Floorball Championships with a win against Germany and finished on the final 7th position. The match didn't show a dramatic spectacle to the spectators; the Poles were better from the very beginning and inthe first period they already went into a decisive lead. In the rest of the game the German players didn't find enough energy to turn the score around and the match finished with a 3:1 win for Poland.

The match was full of inaccuracies and had a similar progress for two periods. The Norwegians controlled the ball, but their passes weren't fast enough to overcome the German defence. Both teams were getting into chances mostly after their opponents' mistakes. Other easy Norwegian shots were saved by the German goalie Indra Reck. So, the spectators saw only one goal in the first period; Mia Osterhaug scored in the 10th minute.

Well, hardly anyone expected that. The Latvians, who haven't been showing their best performances at this year's World Championships, managed to move up a gear in the final ranking games. Today they scored nine times and outclassed Poland with a clean sheet.

The Slovak national team ended the World Floorball Championships with a victory and, therefore, finished on the final 9th position. Slovakia had yet again a successful start of the game, but unlike in the previous matches they managed to lead the game to a victorious end and won, despite a two-goal Russian finish, 6:4..
